This one’s produced by Nat Geo Traveller, so you know it’s going to be top notch. Walks of a Lifetime covers everything from the world’s best treks to city walking guides. Let the sultry tones of Rudy Maxa be your two-footed walking companion. A tasty mix of health tips and travel advice for those who don’t consider holidays an excuse to eat all of the burgers (what’s wrong with you people?).

1. Indie Travel Podcast

For everyone who’s ever wanted to learn how to travel full time (and more importantly debt free), this podcast is a godsend. Linda and Craig from The Indie Travel Podcast have been going strong on the road since 2006, and their show features heaps of cool interviews with experts, plus tips on how to budget on your travels. Win.

2. Zero to Travel

If your ears are after something a bit more esoteric, Jason from Zero to Travel regularly digs down into what travel is, why we do it, and how we can do it better. Throw in a few tips on off-beat travel methods (like international volunteering) and you’ve got an inspiring mix for the sweaty train commute home.

3. Amateur Travel

Amateur Travel is all about destinations, which makes it pretty handy for those suffering from the travel version of Kid-in-a-Candy-Store Syndrome. Chris started the show in 2005 and he’s racked up an amazing database of 300 episodes – each full of useful info on a particular spot.

4. Extra pack of peanuts

Another good one for those on a shoestring budget (whatever that means – are shoestrings the only thing you can afford?) Travis, who hosts Extra Pack of Peanuts, interviews travellers, bloggers and entrepreneurs to find out how to get around for cheap.

5. This week in travel

A relative newbie on the travel podcast scene, This Week in Travel keeps up with all the industry gossip and news. If you want to keep your finger on the travel pulse, tune in to Chris, Gary and Jen as they chew the fat on what’s going on in the world of adventure.

6. Let’s Travel Radio

A pick’n’mix bag of interview content, travel tips and musings from all four corners around the world. Technically Let’s Travel Radio an internet radio show (duh), but you can download episodes in podcast form too.

7. Walks of a Lifetime

This one’s produced by Nat Geo Traveller, so you know it’s going to be top notch. Walks of a Lifetime covers everything from the world’s best treks to city walking guides. Let the sultry tones of Rudy Maxa be your two-footed walking companion.

8. The Healthy Traveller

A tasty mix of health tips and travel advice for those who don’t consider holidays an excuse to eat all of the burgers (what’s wrong with you people?) Join host Devon von Lichtenstein (what a name) as he salads his way around the world.

9. Galavanting

This is a cool web travel series you should definitely check out if your bandwidth and data is up to the challenge. Kim and Maren publish bite sized 5 to 10 minute webisodes of their adventures in Asia, Europe and elsewhere. Professional and unpretentious, the way we like it.

10. Beautiful Places in HD

One for the photographers out there. This one does like it says, shows you beautiful places around the world in crystal clear HD. Although you can find nice images all over Instagram any time, these are more photo essays grouped around themes, which adds a touch of poetry to the pretty pics.
